Ikan pesmol

Jalan Sudirman in Jakarta on an early Sunday morning has a festive mood not unlike the Hari Merdeka parade in Malaysia. Despite the hazy atmosphere, Jakarta-ians come in loads in bicycles and sports attire.. with kids and grandmothers.. walking, running, cycling and even the occasional poco-poco steps. Apparently the road is closed every Sunday, for people to cycle and run. Im pretty sure this pisses off the rest of the people in the city (as it can lead to some long detours to get to a certain destination) but it does sound like a great thing to do in promoting a healthy life style for the urban individuals. Although i still wonder whether is it possible to do something similar maybe in Jalan Ampang or Jalan Tun Razak but im pretty sure it would get quite a protest from the masses. Theres a high chance it will just end up causing road jams all over the city on a bloody Sunday!..

You know the scariest part of the journey on a plane, to me is those few seconds during landing.. just as that moment the tyres hit the ground..where the plane rumbles and the earth beneaths you seems to shake before the plane bounces back, just a tiny bit before slowly decelerating to a halt.it never seems to leave me.. that precise moment.. those mere couple of seconds when rubber and gravel come in contact and life is just at the brink of death.
