Everybody has a drug dealer on speed dial

M posted a blog entry in facebook today. Someone she often reads. Well you know how when you see something amazing you feel a little intimidated, a little inadequate , like you'll never live up to expectations? Thats how i felt when i read it.
But everyone has their specialties, so i wont even try to replicate what she writes. And instead of dwelling in my imperfections, i decided to just be my self and do my thing.
.....................................

So this morning i tried out the bike again after eons of not properly riding it. But this time i went well prepared. Ready with my skin tight pants and multi-coloured socks. Its been a long time since i dared my self to try out the clipless pedals again, after numerous accidents, scratches and bruises all by that damn little pieace of metal.

So.. i took my first step, *click* one leg clipped, one more leg to go... took a couple spins with the other leg free, unclipped. And slowly..carefully *click* the second one... Spinned a bit more..

Yes.. and now..the moment of truth.. To be able to unclip myself or to stay stuck forever, two legs on the pedals falling sideways.
so..
I KICKED hard...
*CLICK*
aaaah... the sweet sound of SUCCESS!
*click* again... and the other leg was free...
Hallelujah! i have finally graduated to clipless pedals.
Giddyly i cycled pass the big roundabout into Desa Park city. All the while my heart soaring with joy. Enjoying my morning ride like ive never before.
.............................................

It might sound unbelievable and even overdramatic a story just for a pair of pedals. But lets just say it has been a long and winding journey for me to get to where i was this morning. and im sure some of you cyclists might agree too.. ;-p

By the way... as of today.. MPLB (My pretty little bike) will be called SMOKEY.. just because i miss my smokes.. and especially my smoke supplier..
