I survived my first ever TEN KILOMETRE run!
It was a nice cool saturday morning and the route was Taman Warisan Putrajaya (Yup i drove all 50km for a 10km run.. You'd better believe it) pass by the Palace of Justice, a slight uphill to PICC and back through the same route. Total exact distance : 10.96km. Total time : 1hr 40 mins.
Running stats :
Lap 1 (1km)- Avg pace :8.47/km Total time :8.46
Lap 2 (1km)- Avg pace :8.11/km Total time :8.11
Lap 3 (1km)- Avg pace :8.22/km Total time :8.22
Lap 4 (1km)- Avg pace :8.58/km Total time :8.57
Lap 5 (1km)- Avg pace :9.23/km Total time :9.22 (by this time ive started walking for a bit since we were starting to climb towards the PICC)
Lap 6 (1km)- Avg pace :8.58/km Total time :8.57
Lap 7 (1km)- Avg pace :9.22/km Total time :9.22
Lap 8 (1km)- Avg pace :10.04/kmTotal time :10.04 (ankles were starting to hurt)
Lap 9 (1km)- Avg pace :9.17/km Total time :9.16
Lap 10(1km)- Avg pace :10.27/km Total time :10.26
Lap 11(1km)- Avg pace:10.27/km Total time :10.26 (masa masa nih dah semakin pancit dan ankle semakin unbearable)
Lap 12(963m)-Avg pace :9.24/km Total time :9.03
Im just so proud of myself as the most i have done is 5km during the Brooks fun run.. and my weekday runs/walk are only around 3.5km per session, and even then it was mostly walking then running/slow jog. But on Saturday i dare say that i ran/jogged 80% of the way!(wooo hooo).. of course many thanks to Super J and Amazing A for being my coaches for the day. Ive realized that long distance running is best done with a friend or a partner.. as you tend to easily get discouraged (patah semangat, penat) when running alone.. So im glad the gurls were around, who even kindly slowed down to run with me.
On a similar note.. this would make a perfect running song.. OH MY GOD ..you definitely HAVE to watch this...

kena rajin training lagi ye. dont worry bout the ankle, nak kena get use with the distance, lepas ni confirm sap sap sui laaa

yeah .. kena rajin training.. nanti buleh temankan i for GE 20km run :) hehe
my legs ached for the whole saturday and i had to rest it on sunday coz didn't want to overuse it.
hey, u know what.. kalo kau kayuh 50km dari rumah then lari 11km kat putrajaya tu, LAGI COOL OK! hehehe
that's the triathlete talking :P

aini : ride 50km and then jog? erm... i belum sampai tahap tuh laaaaaa...
aduh terasa pressure drpada korang dua. hehehe...
