Aku terpanggil untuk membuat komen setelah membaca entry Idlan. I even left a long comment on her blog. Yes. This might be ironic coming from me but whats with the GAZillion A1's man? Does it prove that she's a genius? Could be.. Does it prove that she can be a good doctor someday? mm u wonder..Does it prove that she can find her way in the busy streets of Venice with a map? Does it show that she will be a good leader someday? Does it mean she will be good with people? You never know...
To me, all those A1's just proves that she must have done a whole lot of reading... for a long concentrated length of time and was able to transfer all that she memorized on to paper perfectly... and you know what .. she might not even have a life.. or a lot of friends for that matter.
Yeah.. all those straight A's will surely help you get a scholarship and maybe an entry to one of the finest colleges.. but in the end.. I dont think it has proven anything..How can you be proud with someone who might be empty inside..lack depth.. like droids who churn out perfect scores..
in then end was it all worth it?

Oh my, that's quite an attack.But I'm not quite sure what you're so upset about. I do acknowledge that the system is way from perfect but your other rant are not quite clear.
An exam is just something to gauge, although not perfectly, your academic ability. You yourself imply that when you say it didn't proof anything else, but then to go on to say that she might lack depth, be empty inside, has no friends, etc....so where did you get that? were you stereotyping?
Or are you unhappy about people being proud of her? Well this world is full of people that their stardom is based on being good at one thing. Ronaldinho is (last season anyway) the world best footballer because he's the best at it, for all we know he might be empty inside, as well.
Anyway between someone who scored a bazillion A1 and someone who won a glamorised talent show, I know which one I would rather be proud of.

exdua : yeah i guess i did sound like i was assuming too much but the truth is.. I wasnt assuming. it was more based on experience.it was based on real life. it was based on me. so maybe it was more of an attack on my ownself rather than to the everyone in general.heh. but thanks for the lengthy comment.
