Let the celebration begin

"My people (Ummah) are granted five gifts that no prophet before me had been given. First, when it is the first night of Ramadan, Allah looks at His servants. He will never punish those at whom He looks. Second, the smell of their mouths when night approaches is more pleasant [to Allah] than the scent of musk. Third, angels seek Allah's forgiveness for them everyday and night. Fourth, Allah commands Paradise saying, 'Be prepared and adorned for My servants; they are about to be relieved from the pains of the worldly life and move to My Home and Honor.' Fifth, when it is the last night (of Ramadan) Allah forgives the sins of all people." Thereupon, a man asked, "Is it the night of Qadr (Power)?" He (the Prophet) said, "No, don't you see that once workers finish their tasks, they take their wages?" (Ahmad and Al-Bazzar)
Three years ago i wrote this. This year, its also my first Ramadhan in a totally different setting. Looking forward to all things new. Here's to hoping that this year's fasting month is better than than ones before.

Ramadhan Mubarak!

Tanpa title

The besty is complaining again on my lack of updates so i guess id better start cracking.

- I took my cat to Penang in a 4 hour car drive and he got all freaked out, he doesnt want to stay home anymore. Maybe he's also a little annoyed by my dad's new little kitten (who is such an angel dan sungguh kiss-ass. You just want to squeezy-weezy him and munch him up and puwt him in your palm and baby talk to him) Or maybe he's just a teenage cat discovering a new world because he reminds me of anak teruna yang baru cukup umur, who only comes back at wee hours of the morning or in the afternoon for lunch or breakfast and then its back to the wild. Sometimes i imagine he has a new cat lover somewhere out there. Selamat tidur kekasih gelapku... wooo woooooo...

-I think my besty is cultivating the perfect man for the future. Loves helping out in the kitchen. Is excited about going to shopping complexes. The perfect man to the woman of the future. So you little girls better watch out coz he'll be ready for dating in about 15 years time :)

- KK pics are back. And i would love to put them up here but have to censor the scandalous pictures first, takut kang ada masuk mykakis.net pulak. Which by the way, i cried a little while climbing up the Gunung. Kinabalu is my Everest and I shall conquer u again one day! It was only a four farking kilometres walk up the trail but it was the longest 4 kilometres ever!

- I never knew having sex can help u loose weight.

-from youknowwhere: 'people who are physically flexible are often very open, very giving and very vulnerable in nature while those who appear very strong and muscular are emotionally very reserved, unfriendly and penny-pinching for many.'

Nasi beriyani bukhara

Its a pretty quite week at work and all ive been doing since coming back to the office is clearing up the inbox , doing a few little important things here and there, and getting up to date with my blog lists.

So heres something from blog kegemaranku :

When I asked friends this, they were quick to answer what they valued — “organic food” or “travel” or “nice clothes” — but almost uniformly found it difficult to answer what they didn’t value. When I asked one friend, “What do you not care about? What would you be willing to buy a lower quality of (or not at all)?” he looked at me blankly. I considered violence.

It’s critically important to be explicit about what you don’t value as much as what you do. By writing it down — on a blog or a notepad or an Excel doc — you can prioritize your purchases and avoid being sucked into spending on things you really don’t care about. As Jeff Solomon writes:

“When I come to work tomorrow I’ve got to figure out what NOT to do first and focus on the single most important item first. No matter how hard it is, I’ve just got to get through it. It’s just too easy to get sucked into the unimportant. There are too many things on my lists that just don’t move the needle or don’t make a difference. At work and at home, some things have more impact than others. And when the lists get long, I’ve got to know what NOT to do before I can figure out what to do.”

Indah seri sang rembulan

Its been awhile since ive updated. Rasa rindu pulak.
If only blogger can be updated like twitter.. melalui handphone. Kan best?

So everything went well last week, even though it rained quiet a bit during my side of the event. but as they say.. 'Hujan rahmat weih!' Food was fabulous, from what i heard. Menyesal tidak melantak nasi beriyani di hari pertama.

Anyway to all you well wishers, especially to those who came to the event. You have no idea how much it meant to me to see your smiling faces.

Thank you so much.
From the bottom of my heart.

XOXO
