The misadventures of Little Miss Lin

It was a sangap Sunday and I suddenly remembered M's invitation to The 3rd OtherMalaysia Public Lecture by Farish A Noor, so off i went trotting alone to The Annexe in Central Market. And believe it or not I have never actually been to CM in my entire life and so it was quite an adventure. Took the KTM Komuter to KL station and walked there, not before asking 3 people for directions. "Dik .. nak pergi CM macam mana dik?".. "Depan nih eh dik?" Mind you Ive never actually been to this part of KL on foot yet alone all by myself..Seriously, to actually see KL is to walk around CM, Petaling Street and Pudu..Whats all this crap with KLCC being the centre of KL. Try walking from the big Post Office to either of the 3 places. Now THATS what i call Kuala Lumpur. The area has so much character and apparently the meeting place of all young love.. As how A puts it..a rites of passage.. you have to at least once in your life, have a date in CM... so MHM sayang.. jom kita dating kat CM..*wink wink*

Yuni Shara Sepi

Aku terpanggil untuk memblog setelah melihat latest updates yang begitu banyak di bloglines. Yes, Im sad. My pleasure comes in the form of updated feeds on bloglines.
Actually there have been numerous occasions where i had interesting and funny things to write..but plenty a time, their just written in my head and never typed out on the keyboard. Sampaikan kawan kawan pon sudah kata "blog kau semakin boring lah Lin.. if its not pictures..it would be cryptic entries.." yang kononnya luahan hati secara tersirat rather then tersurat. Ha ha ha..my dears, it has been such a long time since ive written one of those psycho - emo entries. There are too many eyes reading this my dear and i would like to keep my life a little mysterious if I may say so.. (ha.. ha..)
See.. Im supposed to be looking for hotels in Paris and writing something pretty good that i thought of this morning and here i am babbling about nothing. ..
And yeah i watched two movies this week... and I know i had something to say about either one of it but AGAIN...it got lost somewhere in betweeen "aku terpanggil dan plenty a time..."
Seriously.. this is just mindless rambling so you might as well stop reading from this point forward.. or backwards.. what ever..

Kenapa aku rasa otakku bercelaru lah kebelakangan ini. Its like im losing focus. Apa lagi lah yang dipikirkan ?...bak kata Dr.COx.. "Help ME to help YOU to help ME!"

And it was an impromptu trip. Without planning nor purpose. Just to eat, walk and talk. I dont really know whether it was my gear or just the lack of practice and experience but not many of the pictures came out the way i wanted it. And one thing about being an amateur photographer is you find your self more behind the camera then in the photos.
The walk along Jonkers Walk reminded me of Kuta, Bali but much more organised and less harrasment. While Kuta, Bali reminded me of Amsterdam without the free sex and drugs. so (cue *Its a small world afterall*)...

I filled up my first full tank today, since the oil price hike and it came up to a whopping RM81. Thats 20 bucks more than what i normally pay for a full tank... sigh..

The office is fairly empty today as most are on holiday, Cuti Ganti Hari Agung, we get to choose between today or next Friday. Luckily i chose the latter. The cough and flu has yet to go away.. and im coughing and sneezing at the office like theres no tomorrow. But after talking to keane yesterday about antibiotics and medicine, i have decided to stop my antibiotics and to try healing my body with natural substitutes like honey and fruits and just to force my self to drink lots and lots of water. I think it sorta work since im feeling slightly better this morning altho i had to wake up 3 times to pee last night.
The computer is still broken, but luckily the vendor has taken it back for repairs.. but knowing efficient how the company works it would be at least a week before id get the pc back.

Out of 4 that i sent. Only one got through. But its okey, what doesnt kill me makes me stonger.. im gonna strive to take better pictures!

I have a horrible running nose, my eyes are all watery, my pc is still not working and the vendor has yet to come and pick it up for repair and i think im in need of a facial.
I am so tempted to just take an mc half day. Seriously!

I was at the Curve today.. taking out the kiddies for a short outing. Saja la dah alang alang mai KL, bawak la diaorang keluar sekali sekala. There was this FnN decorate a can contest and lo and behold, Meet Ankel Husein were there doing a sound check on stage.. sungguh bersahaja dengan seluar pendek dan kemeja-T and nobody was paying much attention to them. Okeyla.. its not like they were Alicia Keys or Click-5 but still, I was slightly star-strucked. If I wasnt matured,without self-dignity,gedik and all i would have went up and asked for an autograph. But *ahem* I just passed by trying not to stare while giving the I-dont-really-know-who-you-guys-are-and-hey-apa-korang-jerit-jerit-nih-but-secretly-i-love-your-songs look. At one point they belted out Lagu Untukmu which sound exactly like the mp3 and stopped people in their tracks. But obviously that was all to it, the real show was later in the day i think.

The big family is in KL again so as usual its a series of makan makan... and thats the whole reason i get to use internet over the weekend. One of the cous has laptop with WIFI!.. I miss this endless supply of world wide web.. maybe i should buy another Wifi card myself. Okey... its bubur kacang for tea.. makan duluuu...

The one where i lost my shimmies

The increase in the oil price will be such a burden especially for little fishies like me who are "bergaji kecik".
I know the government is trying to supposedly reduce the pain with all the transportation rebates but fak i dont see how any of that is going to cover back the cost of filling up my tank every week. Imagine a 1000cc small car like mine needs a whopping SEMBILAN PULUH HENGGET for a full tank! *pengsan*
I might need to start learning to cycle to work these days.

Further more, the government is expecting the rakyat to change our lifestyles and for example to use the public transport more. But until i can walk 100 metres to the nearest LRT/Commuter Station,then only are they allowed to say that! They are asking us to use the public transport as if it is convenient enough or modern enough , like in the developed countries where it is not a necessity to own a car.
I have lived in an environment where i can commute hundreds of miles without entering a single car so I KNOW IT IS DAMN POSSIBLE to do so. I mean i have actually thought about this, and considered taking the KTM Komuter and LRT.. but for goodness sake to actually take the commuter, someone still has to send me in a friggin CAR!
Okey! I understand that it is crucial that the oil price should be increased with the increase in oil prices globally (which also means everything else will also increase in price!) but i think the least the government can do is to do something about our public transport so that it is more convenient for those who now have to "change lifestyles" and take public transportation.

I know.. so emo. But you'd be emo too if you had to go through the jam-seluruh-dunia, last night.
