The one when I got older

What a better way to celebrate getting a year older than riding on elephants! (??? ..some might ask)..
Yeah.. this year I partied with the gajahs in Kuala Gandah, Pahang. (wooohoooo) It is an alephant sanctuary fully funded by PERHILITAN and its only about an hour and a half drive from Kepong. Take the new East Coast Highway and exit at Lanchiau Lanchang. I highly recommend this activity as it was super fun. We got to ride on the elephants, feed them and even bathe with them... AAAAND it was the perfect photo-op. In random order...

Before all the activities, they showed us a video clip of the process of transferring a wild elephant from a small belukar to the Taman Negara and it was quite.. menyayat hati.. You could see how stressed out the animal was from all the travelling .It takes at least 4 hours by truck, 6 hours by boat (barge) which doesnt include the whole transferring of the elephants from one transport to another which could take up to 1 hour per animal...and all in all about 14 hours of travelling before they reached Taman Negara and even then by the time they arrive, not all of the elephants survived. Some die from fatigue and stress from the long journety. Although one thing that touched me was how they used 2 tame elephants to help calm the lost one.. The tame elephants would pat its new friend with its trunk...and you could see the sense of having something familiar have certainly helped the lost elephant relax..

So... I say just GO!.. make it a day trip! and since its free dont forget to donate towards the plight of the endangered Malaysian Elephants!

And by the way.. If you are in the area. Drop by at Bentong. Look for this small shop.. restaurant Kow Po..They make the best Ais Kacang Special man!
Seriously.Make sure you go there. You wont regret it. Ada dlm wikipedia tuh...

Cucu Tok Ba'yah gone wild

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri

Im sick today. I woke up with a blocked nose n thick snot. Yes thats how i knew i was sick. Because the snot is a darker colour...not clear. ( i learnt that from watching a movie yo..) The overdose of ketupat rendang nasi impit kuah kacang kuih raya sirap and nasi tomato has definitely gotten to me. Although im a little surprised that it took me 3 whole days to get this sick.. but i have feeling that its gonna be another couple of days before it becomes a full blown flu.

Raya was as meriah as last year. The normal meriah.. the normal shebangs .. the normal drama.. although this year we managed to take some very nifty pictures. The makciks and pakciks were all very 'sporting'.. berposing sakan like its nineteen sixy nine. You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words? well ours were worth a thousand laugthers.. the funny pictures sort of bounded us together...putting smiles in everyones faces.. chuckles and giggles erupting as we looked at my sixty year old uncle's pictures jumping for the camera like he was twenty five. Now THATS what i call jiwa muda beb..
I have yet to upload any of them tho sebab malas. Im still screening, filtering the ones to upload in which website and the ones to be deleted (yang mana mana pointless yang takder main subject yand tak focus yang memenohkan space )..

Anyway this year..I made cookies! all by myself. Tanpa bantuan ibu tersayang. Cuma dibantu adik tercinta who made this gigantic alien chocolate chip cookie yang hanya ada satu je untuk dia makan . :)
I actually planned to blog about my cookie making experience with pictures galore.. and i even planned to put up a blog entry untuk ucapan ucapan hari raya.. but plans remain plans. So before i forget and before bulan Syawal reaches the end.. Selamat Hari Raya y'all! Maafkan segala salah silap ku dan halalkan makan minum..
Yang mana terkutuk .. termaki.. tersilap spelling.. terumpat.. semua tuh harap lah lupakan..Buang yang keruh ambil yang jernih yah?!

p/s. although biskut aku menjadi leper dan tidak begitu lawa.. Tapi ia tatap sedap dimakan begituh sajaa.. owhhh Gardeniaaa.. enak dimakan be gi tu sajaa.. dah habis dijamah..

Indahnya dunia ketika kita muda remaja

Its true like what I read in somebody's fotopages, "Nak jadi street photograhper nih kene muka tak malu"... So last Friday, the last Friday before I went back to my hometown, equipped with camera, a couple of girlfriends and very thick skin; i roamed the streets of Jln TAR.

Got a couple of stares (expected), people inviting me to take their photos, people asking me what i worked as ( I think they thought i was a reporter.. hee) and even kene herdik dengan one makcik nih sbb dia tak kasi aku tangkap gambar brooch kat kedai dia..(sheesh)...

but who cares.. I got to take photos... weee!

Have u heard of the term 'parking' or 'betulkan parking'?..
If u havent.. then ask the men around you (boyfriends, husbands ,brothers , gay bestfriends, toy boys..etc)

Men.I know it must be uncomfortable if everything is ermm 'squashed up' or parked in a 'No Parking Zone' and im sure you are trying your best to do it subtly...
But for friggin sake...if you keep going 'south' every two seconds, even the old makcik with thick glasses sitting across the street would notice!

So please, boys have a little courtesy. Go to the toilet. Park it properly.
Or better stil get a bigger parking space.

So yeah i dont think soulmates have to be from the opposite sex.
